COM 204 - Audio Production

3 Credits

An introductory exploration of audio productions techniques using digital audio editing tools as well as microphones and other audio sources. This course will cover production of audio projects as well as exercises using recording devices and digital editing software and new media technology.

Course Learning Outcomes
1. Demonstrate audio recording techniques including analog and digital recording.
2. Perform editing procedures and skills for analog and digital editing.
3. Demonstrate production planning techniques (taking ideas from the pre-production stage through the post-production stage).
4. Demonstrate ability to write and produce for audio, video, podcasting, radio and internet.
